When I got it on my assassin(already a while ago:P) I capped exactly 100 elites and then I got called to the guild hall, after I arrived at 1.337.777 xp, where I was killed by all the assassins in the alliance(only 4 at the time...:P) and I also was given 2 new pair of daggers, which I inm. customized.
ah... Legendary Survivor was special back then, before HFFF and HM

My Paragon has Legendary Survivor, with minimal 'cheating'. At level 8 I got a ferry to Consulate Docks for armor, and only had help from a friend on Jokanur Diggings. All other quests/missions were done with heroes and hench. I even did the 'Masters' level quests, but waited until I was a high enough levelto attempt them. After I got Margrid, I went to Cantha and did the quests/missions there for the higher XP payouts. I did pick up Olias first though, as I wanted an MM hero
I paid for a runner to do The Ruins of Morah, and I had a friend help me with Arborstone. All other missions/quests were done with hero+hench. I didn't skill cap until I got to level 1 of the title, and capped all Paragon and Warrior elites, nothing else. I am Luxon, so didn't do the FFF farm at Lutgardis, and don't care enough about my Faction title to worry about it anyway. I maxed the title before completing Gate of Pain, but had gotten Protector of Tyria and Protector of Cantha by then.
I found the high armor, and high health (used Survivor insignias and Superior Vigor, with only minor runes) made me get attacked very rarely. In fact, before I hit rank 2, I realized I never used my self heal, and so I dropped it for more damage lol. Didn't use consumables either, as the only ones available at the point I got the title were the ones from special events (St. Pattys Day, Easter, etc.).

I hated my para after i reached legendary survivor, neglected it a week or so. Didn't go out to kill it and just played it normally.
Lag spiked helping a guildie in Gate of Madness and shiro didnt take a liking to me. Made me laugh that i lag spiked and died after reaching the title, not before.
Same cannot be said for my Ritualist...

If I actually had the patience for this, the first thing I would do is 1v1 the Base Defender in AB. I am quite sure he would quiver in fear at my title, and run in fear.

I have two legendary survivors already - Ranger and Mesmer. I thought about making Assassin legendary survivor just because PUGs think Assassins are always the most likely to die in battle, but then realized Assassins are useless for PvE.

That's how I went about it, and got it. Many have. I'm not a fan of the "LS in 10 hours" methods. Those don't allow you to experience the real satisfaction of it, in my view.
OP: What have I done since getting LS? Nothing different. I still play the game with the intenion of not dying and haven't. Someone mentioned DII...LOL, my main was a "survivor" in that game as well. It's just the way I play.

Well my Ritualist got to Legendary Survivor by dwarven boxing. I personally don't care for the title, but did it just to fill up the HoM. But I did get Protector of Cantha afterwards (Solo, but with the help of my good friends Olias, Vekk, and Ogden) without dying. Shes at 1.5 mil right now and I started on Prot of Elona (5 done on masters) and Prot of Tyria (13 done).

I just stopped playing carefully, didn't exactly try to kamikaze but I didn't mind walking up to Shiro or running a Shiverpeak Tour. I hit around 1.5 million before some noob called Maw the Mountain Heart decided to pop up on one of my runs.

When you looked at your corpse and realized, "Welp, it's start-over time" it takes a bit of mental adjustment.
Congrats to all who have made this achievement. Are any of you doing it through missions and quests with only Hero and Henchies? Is that even possible??

Through Nightfall with a paragon and building your heroes as you go. Yes..... it's possible and to do so while earning your protector title too boot. I would say the hardest mission would be Shiro and the Lich to come through there and make that one without dying. He isn't exactly a slam dunk kill even with the right skills. Besides farming for experience only takes the fun out of it as an old Diablo II Hardcore Player you can relate to that

We're having a meeting about the official website this week. One of the things I've been wanting us to do for a long time is offer an interesting fact or a bit of trivia on the website that is based on the game, player accomplishments and preferences, and so forth.
Some examples might be:- This is the most popular warrior face [image]
- XXX number of people have better than 50% predictions in the XTH
- The winningest guild [this period of time] is [guild name]
- The player with the highest number of points on his Survivor character is [player name]
Now, I cannot say that we will be able to add this feature, or if we are able to do it, when it would roll out. And I'm not sure if we could pull information that is that fine-grained, but I think we can. And if we can, then I wonder how many survivors would continue in survivor mode, and for how long? Hey, this wouldn't be anything as exciting as a higher-level title, but a little recognition can be cool, too.
What are your thoughts about the idea?

I kill myself before level 5, then complain loudly in alliance chat that I just lost my survivor title.

I actually got mine yesterday after spending months at it actually doing missions and quests, with a bit of solofarming in istan to round it off.
Stripped off all my armor and sacrificed myself to the Nephilia outside Sunspear Great Hall. Figured they'd earned it...

Perhaps my most thrilling moment was solo'ing Unwaking Waters and getting Masters time of 6'28". People complain about hench AI but those guys rock.

My paragon made it to LS just by playing normally, H+Hing all the three campaigns concurrently. After that she has been to places that are not so survivor friendly like DoA and she's still sporting zero deaths without any conscious effort. I guess that the deliberate playing style got ingrained along the way
My LS sin was gnawed to death by a lv1 mantid outside Shing Jea Monastery, just for git and shiggles.

It's a good idea, but things like the survivor one are a bit iffy, because if somebody got it by doing risk-free mindless runs, it would come down to how much more of that they will do and if they will ever stop just to raise that bar so high that nobody would ever reach it..
But the fun little stats like faces, hairstyles etc would be awesome imo!

My paragon is still R1...but by some chance i do make it to R3 I'm going to find the most epic way to die, like equiping a sword and nothing but my pants and perhaps a dragon mask and charging into a group of those endgame nf monsters, after making sure to aggro more groups, while using the shout "theres nothing to fear!"
(I dont plan on fff or farming to get higher in it, to lazy for the effort.)
